Refund & Cancellation Policy
AnchorPoint Consulting
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. Our Approach
At AnchorPoint Consulting, we aim to provide a clear, fair and transparent process for payments, cancellations and refunds.
Our services typically involve bespoke consulting, research, strategy, creative work and digital deliverables tailored to each client's requirements.
Because projects vary in scope, the refund or cancellation amount may depend on the work already completed, commitments made and the terms agreed before the project began.
This policy applies to services supplied by Anchorpoint Consulting Ltd, subject to any additional statutory rights or agreed contractual terms.
2. Before a Project Begins
Clients may enquire about our services or attend an agreed complimentary consultation without an obligation to purchase.
A paid project begins only after its scope and commercial terms have been accepted and any agreed conditions for commencement have been satisfied.
If a client cancels before work begins, payments already received will ordinarily be refunded, except for any specifically agreed and legally recoverable costs already incurred on the client's behalf.
Any such deductions will be explained and itemised.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Begun
Clients wishing to cancel an active project should contact us in writing as soon as possible.
On receiving a cancellation request, we will take reasonable steps to stop further chargeable work and review the status of the engagement.
We will consider:
Work and project milestones already completed
Services delivered up to the cancellation date
Reasonable work undertaken but not yet delivered
Any non-recoverable third-party costs properly authorised for the project
Payments already received
Any applicable contractual or statutory rights
Where appropriate, we will provide an itemised calculation of the amount earned or otherwise lawfully payable and identify any refund due.
We will not automatically treat every upfront payment as non-refundable.
4. Deposits and Advance Payments
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, its amount, purpose and payment date will be explained in the proposal or invoice.
Such payments may contribute towards project work, reserved capacity or agreed external costs, depending on the terms of the engagement.
If a project is cancelled, we will assess what amount may properly be retained or charged, taking into account actual work, agreed commitments, the contract and applicable consumer protection law.
Any balance that is refundable will be returned in accordance with this policy.
5. Completed and Delivered Work
Fees for services properly completed and delivered in accordance with the agreed scope will not ordinarily be refunded solely because the client subsequently changes direction or no longer requires the work.
If work does not meet the agreed scope or required legal standards, we will review the concern and any appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include reasonable correction, further performance, a price adjustment or a refund.
Nothing in this policy removes a client's statutory rights.
6. Changes to Project Requirements
Clients may request changes to an agreed project scope.
Where a change affects the work, schedule or cost, we will provide an explanation and seek approval before undertaking additional chargeable work.
A decision not to proceed with newly proposed work does not itself incur a charge.
7. Retainer and Ongoing Services
Some clients engage us for ongoing consulting, content creation, marketing or related services.
The billing arrangements, renewal periods, service commitments and cancellation notice requirements for these engagements will be set out in the individual retainer agreement.
Any unused fees or outstanding charges following cancellation will be assessed according to the agreed contract and applicable law.
8. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Where a client enters into a contract as a consumer rather than for business purposes, additional legal cancellation rights may apply.
For qualifying distance or off-premises service contracts, consumers generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning when the contract is entered into.
If a consumer expressly requests that services begin during this period, and the applicable legal requirements have been met, they may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation.
Where services have been fully performed during the cancellation period, a consumer may lose the statutory right to cancel if the legally required express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.
Digital content supplied electronically can be subject to separate statutory rules.
We will explain any applicable early-start arrangements and obtain the necessary consent before beginning work where required.
These provisions do not affect statutory rights relating to services that have not been supplied with reasonable care and skill or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
9. Requesting a Cancellation or Refund
To request a cancellation or refund, email:
Liam.riley@anchorpointconsulting.org
Please include your name, organisation (if applicable), project reference or invoice number, and a brief explanation of the request.
We will acknowledge the request and review the relevant project agreement, delivery status and payment history.
Where a refund is due, we will communicate the amount and expected processing arrangements.
Any refund required by consumer law will be made within the applicable statutory deadline. Other agreed refunds will be processed without unreasonable delay.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method where possible. Payment-provider processing times may affect when funds become available.
10. Payment Disputes
If you believe a payment was made incorrectly, duplicated or charged contrary to an agreed invoice, please contact us promptly.
We will review the payment and seek to resolve any mistake fairly.
Nothing in this policy prevents clients from exercising lawful rights to dispute a transaction with their bank, card issuer or payment provider.
11. Consumer Cancellation Form
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, a consumer may use the following optional form or simply send a clear cancellation request by email.
